My vision is to construct a scaled down artistic interpretation of the original Mission, a sort of mirror image on the beautiful vineyard meadow at the end of Ruggles Run, using materials from the original. I wish to rebirth its soul, to give it new life, honouring its true energy calling out to be shared. It will stand as a monument symbolizing the continuity of life, ever changing, evolving, yet having an energy that continues forever, offering shelter, comfort... I'd like to create a beautiful place for others to experience, to commune with nature, a quiet place just to be, to listen... THE MISSION HALL PROJECT lies in the heart of Pelee Island. It represents the true essence of Pelee, A Sanctuary for one and all... So many have felt the magic of Pelee. My dream began in 2011 to somehow honour or restore the old crumbling church on Henderson Rd. Its sadness called out to me, needing to be heard, one day that hot summer as we passed by. The dream incubated for awhile, well for 4 years, settling in and developing in my mind, although really I know now, actually just following my soul's lead, until I set my intentions in May 2015, took the plunge and started the plan in motion. Since then the Universe has conspired to support me every step of the way. If I faltered at any point with anything that resembled fear or worry, struggling with my many shadows, I would be gifted the encouragement or a message to move forward. So, here we are, no running scared now and why would I want to even consider such when we're feeling so exhilarated by it all! Wherever this may take you, THANKS for coming along !
